About Trina Aspinall

I’ve been where you are…
literally.

In my early 40’s, I had a full-on mental breakdown.

Working myself to the brink and not taking care of my body, I was dealing with horrible periods, stress and anxiety, migraines, and intense mood swings every time I got my period.

Was this the beginning of perimenopause?
I wondered.
Is this what it’s like?

Determined to learn more, I was fortunate to discover holistic hormone therapy and began a lifelong devotion to this study of balance and alignment.

My fitness journey began in a similar moment of crisis.

With my first pregnancy, I gained 80 lbs.

After my son was born, I expected to just magically return to my pre-baby body…
but a year went by and I was still carrying an extra 45 lbs.

Something needed to change.

I felt like a stranger in my own body...

I avoided the mirror because I couldn’t stand the reflection staring back at me.

I avoided going out in public.
My self-esteem was so low, and I was spiraling into depression.

My doctor suggested a pharmaceutical treatment…
but deep down, I knew that exercise was the missing piece.

So I made a decision.

I got a membership at the gym.

At first, I had no idea how much that decision would change everything.

I was determined to make it happen.

I woke up early each morning to get my workout in, so I could be home in time for my husband to leave for work.

After a few weeks, I started to feel like myself again.
I was getting stronger, and the heaviness I’d been carrying began to lift.

A year later, I earned my certification as a Group Fitness Instructor and began leading my own classes four times a week.

Exercise didn’t just change my body – it changed how I felt in my life.

I became stronger, more grounded, and more confident in myself.

I realized I could do hard things.
That I could create change when I committed to it.

And I also saw something deeper:

These moments – when we feel at the edge of what we can handle –
are often the doorway to something new.
